When the new baby arrives at Grandma's house on Christmas morning with his replica of Santa hat, or when the whole family jingles all around with their Santa hats, even Scrooge will say, "Merry Christmas!"

I rate this pattern easy for beginner and intermediate crocheter. Every stitch and techinque is described and illustrated in the order of them appearing in the pattern at the end of the instructions for beginner. While the intermediate crocheter can dive directly into the instructions.
